To production
MFT 5 · 4:27
The invoice transfer from the earlier MFT videos goes to production, where its remotes and secrets have values of their own. A run that fails after the supplier changes its password is found and fixed.

$ weikio restart finance/supplier-invoices --env productionTranscript
- 0:01Your file transfer runs in devtest. This video walks it into production.
- 0:11This drawing is your Weik.io installation, where the earlier videos left it.
- 0:17Production is next, with agent prod online.
- 0:21A remote's value belongs to one environment, so tags mark the production pair.
- 0:26Production works against its own supplier server and bucket.
- 0:34Secrets are stored per environment,
- 0:37so the supplier's password needs a value for production.
- 0:40The command prints where the value goes, then asks at a prompt that echoes nothing.
- 0:48weikio secret set finance/invoice-archive-key for production
- 0:53stores the bucket key the same way.
- 0:55Both secret chips take their production tag once Weik.io stores it.
- 1:02weikio promote finance/supplier-invoices from devtest to production carries the running version into production,
- 1:11where it stays pinned.
- 1:12A write into production waits for confirmation, so the question takes a yes.
- 1:17The promotion copies no values and no secrets,
- 1:21so production keeps its server, its bucket and both secrets.
- 1:30weikio invoke finance/supplier-invoices in production on its run-now entry asks for a run there,
- 1:38then answers at once about the queued run.
- 1:41The run copies both PDFs into the bucket,
- 1:44while the filter holds price-list.csv back.
- 1:51Every moved file leaves a record on the Transferred files page,
- 1:55here filtered to production.
- 1:57The two PDFs have a Copied row each, and the held-back CSV has none.
- 2:05Each run gets a row in the Runs section.
- 2:08The row counts two files and no errors, with copy as its operation.
- 2:17The supplier's production folder gained another invoice.
- 2:21The supplier changed its production password.
- 2:35The top row counts no files, and its first error names the refused login.
- 2:42Home counts the failure under Needs attention.
- 2:50A run with errors leaves a problem on the list, kind transfer failed.
- 2:55The figure counts one error, and the detail gives a logs command.
- 2:59The read covers only that run, down to rclone's 530 line.
- 3:12The same write stores the new password:
- 3:14weikio secret set finance/supplier-ftp-password for production.
- 3:23The prompt stays hidden.
- 3:25The transfer takes its password when it starts,
- 3:28so weikio restart finance/supplier-invoices stops it and starts it again.
- 3:39Ask for the run the same way, now with the new password.
- 3:43Invoice-1045.pdf lands in the production bucket.
- 3:50weikio problems comes back empty.
- 3:59Home cleared with no reload, still Live.
- 4:07Tags mark which environment a value or secret belongs to.
- 4:11Production runs the promoted version, pinned to 0.1.1.
- 4:16The bucket holds every file production moved.
