What it means#

The certificate of a gateway hostname has expired. Callers that check certificates, which is nearly all of them, can’t call the APIs on that hostname.

What raises it#

The certificate’s end time has passed. The detail gives the end time and what to do.

What to check#

See where the certificate comes from, its proof and its last error:

Terminal
$ weikio describe certificate <hostname>

List the certificates with their days left:

Terminal
$ weikio get certificates

How to fix it#

Renew the certificate when Weik.io obtains it, after fixing the cause the renewal’s last error gives:

Terminal
$ weikio certificates renew <hostname>

For an uploaded certificate, upload a new one with weikio gateway set <gateway> --server-certificate <name>=<chain.pem>,<key.pem>, or let Weik.io obtain one with --certificate-source automatic.
